#PJ Styled: 9 Ways to Wear Diamonds by the Yard

#PJ Styled: 9 Ways to Wear Diamonds by the Yard

We fell in love with it the moment we first saw it: sweet, delicate chains adorned with shimmery diamond stations. The look is endlessly versatile and tastefully subtle, making it a great piece we want to go back to again and again. Here are our nine favorite ways to wear these cuties with any outfit.

The Stack

Our favorite look of the season is stacking a pendant (or two!) with a long diamond station necklace. Try a 16-18" pendant with a 30-36" chain--or reverse the look with a collarbone-hugging 18" diamond station necklace and a long pendant or chain lariat necklace.

The Flapper

Turn your long chain into two by doubling over a 36" chain to create a short collar and long, drapey length a la the Roaring Twenties.

This easy layered look is chic and pulled together, perfect for a conservative, dressy function with just the right amount of sparkle. Layer together three (or perhaps four) lengths of solitaire or clover necklaces in your favorite metal with that little black dress- aaand you're done!

The Short and Sweet

Several short necklaces at one length gives the dainty look more visual weight: a great way to layer on sparkle without cluttering up a scoop, v-neck, or halter neckline.

Seeing Double

Pick a pair of necklaces in varying lengths--say, 18" and 24" or 24" and 30"--and layer them with a plunging halter or cowl. The right length will accentuate your decolletage with a bit of sparkle. This look also works well with high beateaus and turtlenecks: just be sure the lengths fall completely above or below the neckline.

Don't feel like wearing a necklace? Double one up as a shimmery stacked bracelet for a casual look.

In the Mix

Get playful with your set by layering different metals, silhouettes, and lengths. Mix in a few minimalist pendants for a look that's laidback and of-the-moment.

The Peep Through

An 18" diamond station necklace is the perfect amount of sparkle for peeping out of a collared blouse. We like it paired with a short, 14-16" diamond solitaire pendant sitting in the hollow of the neck.

The Long and Lean

A single long chain, 30-36", packs a punch with a well fitted dress or flowy blouse alike. We love it for its simplicity: it's right on trend for the minimalist look yet balances well with your favorite statement piece (like a cocktail ring!).
